I have a suggestion. Don't go vacation in France since it bothers you so much.

I don't know the details of the situation in Paris, so maybe I'm wrong, but this would seem to be their own fault. We reduced the smog problem in California, and in Los Angeles in particular, to the point where it is no longer a problem DECADES AGO. What have the French been doing all these years?

It seems that China isn't the only nation having pollution problems. But France doesn't have a growing economy. And with all of their government regulations, they can't possibly be described as "free market."

And I should have added that therefore high pollution cannot be automatically blamed on a free market or a growing economy. Bob
