how can we lend credence to a magazine aimed at true beleivers who writes articles to trick the rest of the population into converting to their cult? Congratulations Teri. You managed to make two errors in logic in one sentence. First of all, your above comment is a Complex Question Fallacy. It's like asking "Do you still beat your wife?" You are assuming facts not in evidence. Secondly, since you offered absolutely no evidence that Libertarians are either "true believers" or members of a "cult", you are also making an Ad Hominem. Yet you back President Obama and Obamacare, don't you? Somehow, I suppose, you don't think that "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan; if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" and "Your premiums will decrease" were lies to trick the rest of the population. All that your artticles are saying is that ideas don't sell themselves. They have to be sold. Basically, this is nothing more than Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People." By making the above charge, are you also claiming that politician's who share your beliefs NEVER use persuasive techniques? Exactly what is wrong with using arguments to support civil liberties? Where is the problem? Bob
