In other words "whatever differences we may have" are not going to get in the way of our cooperation on the control of Middle East oil. Saudi Arabia - an unelected dictatorship in which pro democracy campaigners are made to "disappear" - is the epicenter and main sponsor of global terrorism, and the birthplace of al Qaeda. Meanwhile, Obama has said he has "no patience" for Russia's gay propaganda law, and won't be attending the Sochi games. He has no problem visiting Saudi Arabia, where homosexuals are publicly executed on a daily basis. "Those are my principles. If you don't like them I have others."
