Generally speaking, I don't much care for politics. However, aren't the armed forces spread a little thin as it is? In WW2 Hitler's forces were fighting all over the place too and we all know how that came out. I don't see any tactical advantage in engaging on yet another front.
If we take a lesson from history -- I don't see how this can end well. I'm not debating the pros or cons of the venture -- but assuming they decide to do this, what makes those in charge think they can multiply loaves and fishes? I don't know that there is sufficient manpower, much less funding to engage in this venture.
Or am I missing something?

Deb, I don't know about how the military can cope but I do know it's been said no boots on the ground. All I know is that the people of this country of ours are beyond sick of war or whatever you want to call it. There are arguments on both sides of the question as to what this would mean if countries can get away with chemical warfare. I don't know. This will NEVER stop until we stop or at least unless we are directly attacked or are plans to do so. But just to make it plain--I am NOT a Libertarian and never will be.

You don't have to be a Libertarian to hate war, Lily.

You don't have to be a Libertarian to hate war, Lily. Bob Isn't that what I said? Just because you know it, doesn't mean everyone else does.
