Have a look at the IRC statement of beliefs page www.icr.org/tenets/ It's all so reasonable if you start with biblical inerrancy and stick with it. But I have never been able to understand the maintainence of a "faith bsed" approach to knowledge. Unless you are both willfully ignarant and also stupid, how can you keep believing things that have been clearly refuted by every scrap of evidence there is? ===== I am still having trouble commenting on your blog. Even when I sign in to use the "google account" profile, my comments just disappear when I click preview or publish.

Captcha IDs are those irritating logon thingys with the twisted letters and numbers. It's a way to keep software bots from accessing sites, since, in theory, only a real human can read the distorted characters. My main complaint about them is that they are often too difficult for even a human to read. I tend to misread them about half the time. Is that a zero or the letter O? Is that a one or a small l? And so on.

Here's a TED Talk from 2011 by one on the inventors of captcha. When you do a two-word captcha you are help to digitize something. He was also invloved in developing www.duolingo.com where you can learn a new language for free while helping to translate something from one language into another. And he's an amusing speaker.
