The cage over the spa has been repaired and the screening is new there as well as all of the lanai. New table to replace the one broken, the patio window has been replaced and now we just wait for the pool company to come and replace the railing and spa cover. It's been an interesting couple of weeks. At least now we can sit outdoors and not have love bugs, dragonflies and other winged buggies join us. insert code here

Maybe she could set out a dish with a few petals from other flowers that would satisfy the pillar's cravings....

"Nasty critter?" -- no. Just an "inchworm" which will (we hope) turn into a beautiful moth or butterfly, and soon, before it eats all the orchids. We have it in a small bowl covered with a strainer to protect it from lizards and birds.

We have it in a small bowl covered with a strainer to protect it from lizards and birds. Reminded me of those nasty pillars that damage tomatoe plants. Glad you have it in a safe environment. We share our lanai with lots of little anoles.... lizard type critters. The night of the accident, Mike was standing outside next to one of the aluminum supports for the cage and one of our anoles moved up and got right beside Mike....poor little anole. They know they're safe in our enclosed lanai.....and now, there was a disruption in the force....lol. Some of the larger birds around here enjoy anoles for lunch....now they weren't protected from them. Didn't have any around until that cage and screening were fixed....now they're back, sunning themselves on the decking and relaxing on my patio furniture.
