An acquaintance just sent this youtube video to me saying this proves ghosts exist. So, stop the presses everyone. Now I don't want to be rude to her, but I can see many issues with this video, least of which is that they never confirm a location or names of people involved so it would be difficult to find out if there really was a police report. Also we never seen any video of what is in the room. I would also like to know why this hotel camera is pointed at that door and not down the hallway like the other cameras. Seems fishy to me. This video could have easily been made as a prank just to see how far it would go...and since it's been watched over 3 million times I guess it's mission accomplished for them. So, what do you think?

Dear Dawn:
Well...I've run into some weird things in hotels myself. Many years ago, my best friend (now deceased) had asked me to help her move her mom up from Kentucky. So everyone drove down in several cars and spent the night. I was lying in bed and the room was pitch black. I couldn't see my hand if I put it up to my face. Then this reddish orb seemed to slip through the wall from the adjacent room through one of those locked doors that usually separate two hotel rooms. I was watching the thing scared to death because I knew it wasn't one of my usual "family" ghosts. I was afraid to move because the children were very small, sound asleep, and I didn't want to frighten them.
The next morning, my husband told me that he had been watching this reddish light that moved through the wall and was floating around the room -- but he didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to frighten me and the children. So yeah -- hotel rooms can have weird stuff in them.
This video -- well, you have to wonder why they were taping this (or is this regular hotel security footage???) Do they tape every time someone goes to investigate a guest complaint, or only when they suspect it's paranormal activity?
I'd say...not enough information to tell. And I've personally never seen ghosts as blurs before -- just light manifestations of various sizes, shapes, and colors. That looked like a blur.
Were there any comments explaining why they thought that room would be haunted?

This video reminds me of the footage of the hotel video of Joran Van Der Sloot when he was standing outside his hotel room door pretending that he lost his key so that I guess there would be witness to his story that he bought coffee for him and the woman he killed and she was alive when he left. And we know she had already been killed by him. I know someone who used to be a hotel manager and said that people sometimes check into a hotel to commit suicide so I guess so they would be found faster than doing it somewhere else.
I know that Pat has at least one credible experiences with a ghost in a hotel room where she stayed one time. And she's not the type to imagine stuff like that. Deb's red blob story sounds credible to me as well. I've experienced a few strange things as well.

I wonder what is up with Van der Sloot? I think I'll look it up.

Here's the latest from this past March. I really doubt I will be alive that far into the future to see what happens to him in the U.S. Damn!

I can't see the video, just a large black rectangle. But as I've said before, it's so easy these days to alter and fake photos and videos, there's really not much purpose in posting them as evidence of anything. 8->

This one seems extremely fake to me.
