Although I personally think the media is hyping up the Corona virus to use it as a political weapon -- I can't deny that world wide there has been a significant amount of cases -- many resulting in death
Regardless, I really don't "get" people who view this situation as humorous. After all, people have passed away from this thing (mostly in China). Still -- how does this situation give birth to the video linked below?
Just look at these morons. These people look to be in their late 20's to early 30's and by that time, they should be grown up enough not to joke around about death. Can you imagine how anyone who has lost a relative in this epidemic would feel if they saw this stupid thing?
It brings to mind a little poem kids used to say back in the day, "Do not laugh when the hearse goes by, for you may be the next to die." Obviously, these characters are at that age where they consider themselves immortal. Disease and death are things which happen to other people. Idiots!
Each and every I lose more respect for humanity.

These guys would appear to be wide open to a copyright lawsuit from whoever currently owns "My Sharona" (1979) by The Knack.

Not if it is considered satire. Otherwise Mad Magazine (remember them?) would have been sued for all their take-offs of movies and other comics.

I liked Mad magazine when I was a kid and never had a problem with "Weird Al".
But neither of these sources ever stooped to mimicking current events that caused death to my recollection.
Frankly, this Corona virus thing worries me. I can't shake the feeling it escaped out of someone's lab.
So far, I feel somewhat insulated as only the coasts of the United States seem to have many cases. But that doesn't help our Facts members in New York or California.
If nothing else, it proves the folly of a "globalist" view of the world. With a borderless society-- this would be truly uncontrollable.
And I am very angry at the knowledge that our medical supplies are dependent on foreign supply lines. How was this allowed to happen? And how was it that the public was totally unaware that this was allowed to happen?
I am glad Trump is in office because he imposed a travel ban and bought us time.
Personally, I wish they would begin to shut things down. The fact that multiple cases are popping up on the coasts leads me to think cases are slipping into the country via airports and shipyards.
I also think unnecessary group activities should be suspended. Revenue will be lost, but better that than lives.
And certainly, the idiot box can quit broadcasting daily soaps to show educational programs so children can stay home. I see no reason to herd them together and risk possible infection. But no doubt they will "wait" until things get really bad before acting. Personally, I would act BEFORE things get bad.
