You have to see it to believe it.

What! Don't tell me that those round-earthers have snared you with their false beliefs! No!!!! 8->
Alas, these are the kind of people I grew up with. One high school friend had all the proof he needed. The Bible says somewhere that angels stood on the four corners of the earth, and a sphere doesn't have corners. Therefore the earth is flat. It's in the Bible. So there. LOL

You should have told him that a circle doesn't have corners either.
Apparently the Earth is not only flat. It is also Square!

I saw it. The interesting thing is that they spent very little time pointing out the errors in the reasoning of the flat earthers. They just treated them as specimens to be examined and understood in an abstract unemotional way.

Hi ppnl. Welcome to the Facts Board.
Specimens? I thought they were just giving the Flat Earthers plenty of time to state their views.

Yes, but why would they do that? Do you think they thought flat earth views deserved that much time on their merit?

Personally I think it was very good to give the Flat Earthers so much time. That way, everyone could hear their views in their own words..
Didn't J. S. Mill say something about hearing the beliefs directly from those who believe them? Isn't that the best way?
