Apparently, Bobby Kennedy III just got married. It was a beachfront wedding...but still, with all the money that family has -- why did he wear that tricky outfit? The bride looks okay (don't care for her headpiece). Still, you have to wonder why they didn't get a wedding planner like most people in that economic bracket do. You have to scroll down the page to see the groom's outfit. It is completely horrible. www.townandcountrymag.com/the-scene/weddings/amp22084375/bobby-kennedy-iii-amaryllis-fox-wedding-photos/--Debutante

Because you're traditional and they're not. So, I assume they want their ceremony to reflect their personalities and values.

Lily,
It isn't the beachfront wedding. Those can be charming. But all he needs is a red rubber nose and some funny shoes to complete the look.
Actually, that's not quite true. My first impression (and I kid you not) was that he reminded me of the 60's -- mostly a flower power painted VW van.
But it's not the fabric necessarily -- it's the whole look is too goofy for a wedding. They're not poor, so they could have hired a wedding planner to coordinate something tasteful.
He is so informal as to look slovenly. And a formal tail coat (no matter how retro funky 60's the fabric) really doesn't belong on a beach.
My "Post" is a little rusty, but I vaguely remember that tails are only used at evening weddings and only if the wedding is totally formal.

Again, it's what they wanted and I don't really think they care about what is considered traditional or in good taste. Of course, I understand your viewpoint as to how you'd like things done and you wouldn't do it their way. But in the end, it's really irrelevant except as commentary, which is good and I'm glad that you posted it.
