Yeah, the next time I want to discuss a complex topic, I'll look for a meme that can replace 500 pages of detailed argument.

But you might view a podcast that covers that subject. 8->
In the tech writing biz (procedural instructions), you may have noticed that instructions for the general public have been shifting over the past few years. First, it was all text, then a mix of text and graphics, now instructions tend to more like comic books - pics with captions. How about popping over to YouTube to see a short film on how to replace that wonky doorknob? No need to read at all, except to select which video to watch.
This is indeed the future. Less text means paying less for expensive writers like me (sigh). Less text means paying less for translations, if your product goes international. Less text is more popular among the young and poorly educated. We're coming full circle. Writing began as pictures of the things we were talking about and we're heading back to that. Why write the words, "No Smoking", when you can just put up a picture of a cigarette with a red slash through it?
Complicated subject? Make a video. Simple subject? Make a picture. 500 pages of writing? Nah. 8-<
