Lily,
I know you read a lot of true crime books. I currently reading: JonBenet: Inside the Ramsey Murder Investigation by Steve Thomas and Donald A. Davis. It's very detailed and you might want to take a look at it.

The only one I really remember reading is the one about Ted Bundy by Ann Rule and that's because a friend of mine lived in Tacoma at the time Bundy was active there. I have seen the TV series based on Rule's book, too. For other serial killer types, I've either read about them in the news, or seen something about them on TV. And I do like to watch true crime shows such as Forensic Files where crimes are solved by forensics and other investigative procedures. As far as the JonBenet murder case, I've seen so much about it on the news and TV shows, that I just can't see what more could be written about it. And I don't see how it will ever be solved. But I'll take a look at the book.

Lily,
I agree. It's one of those cases that makes you wonder what the heck people were thinking.
I've seen the crime scene photos and don't believe any family member could do that to their child even as "cover up" after an accidental head wound. The garroting is brutal.
And the fact that they had close to two thousand strangers traipse through their home to admire their Christmas decorations a few days before the murder was just plain stupid. Who does that? You're asking for trouble with that.
On the other hand, there's that bizarre 3 page ransom note that resembles the mom's writing.
This writer seems go favor the mother as the suspect.
Recent theories postulate Jon Benet fell victim to a child pedophile ring Illuminati ring in Boulder.
According to this book, everything was compromised -- the crime scene and the body. Plus, information was constantly leaked that the police wished to hold back until after interrogations were completed. Computers were hacked. All sorts of shennanighans went on. Presumably, according to this author -- that's why the case has never been solved.
Having seen the photos, I think it was done by a man because the rope is cutting in very deeply. I don't think a woman would have the strength to do that. Even so, i don't see a family member doing that unless they were totally off their nut.
