Who needs the electric company?

We talk about getting a small generator sometimes. Usually when there's a long power failure somewhere. But those all have internal combustion engines -- complex, need servicing even if never used, might not start when you need it, require on-site fuel storage. A small fuel cell might be a good choice - 4 or 5 kilowatts would keep the whole house running.
