I'm not going to post (even though there are posts I really want to respond to) until this program recogniizes me. It's not that my user name or password is wrong. Just don't now what it is. I want to be able to edit my posts, which being a guest doesn't allow me to do, and also just the principle of it.

Are you entering your password, Lily or is Windows entering it for you? Wow, what a mystery!

Lily, pardon me if I ask something you've tried, but can you go into your settings and reset things? Try a new password? I'm sure you must be frustrated.

Lily, if you have eliminated all the usual suspects and continue to have trouble, perhaps you should register again under a new name. My email name is raybar01, rather than just raybar, because something was messed up and I added the 01 and started over.
Some of the usual suspects around here have been -- caps lock key set wrong or manual capitalization mistakes, especially when entering passwords because you don't see what you have typed -- num lock key set wrong, again especially with passwords -- cordless keyboard needs new battery (transmitting wrong characters) -- cordless mouse needs new battery -- regular keyboard or mouse needs replacement
My second favorite computer problem at work -- "Ray!!! My compute won't turn on." Problem = monitor got turned off accidentally. Computer actually is running just fine. Solution = turn on monitor.
And my favorite -- One of the girls somehow rotates the display on her monitor by pressing some mystery key combination, usually by laying papers down on her keyboard. There is no "hot key" for this as far as I know. "Ray!!! Everything's up-side-down on my monitor again." Solution = rotate it back like I showed you last time, although it was really hard to control the mouse pointer with the display up-side-down. Solution = hold mouse up-side-down.
Anyway, I hope you get this problem solved somehow. It must be making you crazy.
And I spoke too soon about Gander's blog taking comments from my iPad. That seems to have been a one-day courtesy, because now it won't.

Thanks, Pat and Raybar. I checked all those things, and it's none of that. As far as password, I deliberately put in a wrong password, and it lets you know. So, I can't blame the password. After all, I'm here now. I did have a problem at first when I got to this window in that the capital "I" was here for a while, so could not write (you know, the "wait" thing). I really think it's my laptop. I can't use webcam and I can't install Service Pack 2. What a lemon.
