I've only seen the original and one from some years ago (don't know if it was with this Brenden Frasier person), so I can't comment. Just wondering, however, where is your rose?

I just happen to be inventorying our library of VHS tapes and DVDs, and I found "The Mummy" from 1999 with Brendan Fraser. I have never watched it, but now that I have it, I will do so. Wow. long. 2 hours and 5 minutes. :-)
Oh! I just now saw your post. Okay, I will go to the link.

They lost me on 3 the actor who played his son seemed more like his little brother than his son, was too old and replacing Rachel Weisz, really. So too me there are only two Mummy movies that I love.

I've just discovered they're planning a re-boot of "The Mummy". I refuse to go see it! What happened to the fourth installment of the franchise with Brendan Fraiser? How can anyone even think of making a mummy film without Fraiser and the rest of the gang? Yes, the franchise is campy, but it's also extremely entertaining. I watch any of the three existing films whenever I see them being shown on TV. That doesn't even count the dozens of times I've viewed these movies on DVD. I'm so disappointed that they're not doing, Mummy 4: Rise of the Aztecs like they promised mummy fans years ago! They deserve the curse of the Hom-Dai for this!! --Debutante I watched The Mummy and The Mummy Returns on TV this week. They are a lot of fun. I see what you mean about the reboot of The Mummy without Brendan Fraser. But I did read about the proposed The Mummy 4 film and I kind of understand that they're doing. It will be an entirely different concept from the ones with Fraser which they describe as more Indiana-Jones-like. The Mummy 4 will be more based on the original and would be more scary rather than an action film. I'd like to see that one, too. I'm going to watch the original The Mummy soon and also The Mummy's Hand, both of which I have.
