What, maybe like Hiroshima? Or just push a couple million people into the sea?
Girl continued
Doesn't she remember what the Fascists did to her own people in the 1940s? Or maybe she thinks genocide is only a bad thing if you're on the wrong end of the stick.

She meant raze it to the ground by whatever means. It's a viewpoint held by many Israelis, and by some Israeli politicians. It's the "solution" proposed by Gilad Sharon, the son of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon. This is what he wrote in the Jerusalem Post: "We need to flatten entire neighborhoods in Gaza. Flatten all of Gaza. The Americans didn’t stop with Hiroshima – the Japanese weren’t surrendering fast enough, so they hit Nagasaki, too." www.jpost.com/Opinion/Op-Ed-Contributors/A-decisive-conclusion-is-necessaryAnd here's a quote by Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs: "We must continue to fight Hamas just like the United States did with the Japanese in World War II. Then, too, the occupation of the country was unnecessary." www.jpost.com/Israel/Lieberman-Do-to-Hamas-what-the-US-did-to-JapanLieberman's comments were widely interpreted to mean that he was in favour of nuking Gaza, and he received thousands of messages of support from Israelis who agreed with his view. The Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Erdogan, revealed in a Guardian interview several years ago that Lieberman had told him that nuking Gaza was his preferred option. And if you think that's outrageous, is it really much more outrageous than what they've done already? They've already bombed and killed over 3,000 civilians. Who or what is there to stop them from using nuclear weapons? In fact that would seem to be the logical and inevitable progression given the direction of their current policies. They are immune from prosecution, sanctions etc., thanks to the US veto. So what have they got to lose? If they were to nuke Gaza there would be outrage and condemnation, of course; but there already is outrage and condemnation. There has been for decades. It hasn't deterred them from carrying on with their bombing campaigns, their annexation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian land, their building of illegal Jewish settlements on Palestinian land etc. They would be condemned - yet again - but the "problem" of Gaza would have been permanently and decisively "solved". Don't imagine for one minute that Israel would hesitate to use nuclear weapons. They've come to within a hair's breadth of using them several times in the past. In 2002, for example, then Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon threatened to nuke Baghdad "if one more scud rocket hits Israel". He was deterred from this action by George W Bush, who told him: "You will not, you will not do that, it would be crazy..." He assured Sharon that "we" (the US) would keep Saddam under control. And he added: "A nuke on Baghdad, that could be pretty tricky." (Alastair Campbell's diaries) And note how they are already framing the possible nuking of Gaza with the precedent of the US's nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They're basically arguing that there is an equivalence between the two cases, and that they would be as justified in using nuclear weapons against Palestinians as the US was (in their view) in using nuclear weapons against the Japanese. This should give you some idea of just how warped their thinking is.

She's a spoiled brat kid, who is shallow & probably more interested in fashion. Like any other dumb kid who lives in thousands of other cities all over the world. She cares more about itunes, & knows that a lot better than people or politics. It's like watching 'JayWalking'.

Not only is that young lady a dumb bitch, but I want to remind you, Ray, that on 9/11/01, when the news broke re: NYC, there were cameras in Gaza, showing thousands of people, Palestinians, dancing, cheering, shouting with glee, juxtaposed to other areas of the world who mourned with us.
The true answer? People suck, they are depraved. Not all, but too many. Of any ethnicity.

Yes, Joan, I realize that she's too young to remember personally. I meant remember from school. Perhaps I should have said "doesn't she know."
And maybe she doesn't know. I have met innumerable young twits who know all about the latest music video and all about some idiot celebrity and all about the latest fashion trend, but nothing whatever about history or science or philosophy or anything else that actually matters.
And yes, I do remember people cheering the 9/11 attacks -- just as sick as anyone ever cheering death and destruction, no matter when or where or why it happens.

That's what YOU say. Maybe the editing of some of these new videos are misleading, too. It was disingenuous to pass off an old picture, which *I* remembered of kids writing on bombs. Unless you were challenged you may never have admitted it.
No, no matter what Yasser Arafat said at the time, the PEOPLE were cheering in the street. Thousands of people. If they didn't represent the majority, maybe the new pics you show of demonstrations don't either.
Until relations ever normalize, I will end any response to you with a big Fuck You, whether I'm in agreement or not. Fuck You.
