According to official records, veterans only have to wait 14 days to make an appointment. Unfortunately for the sick veterans, the records were falsified. Veterans have been dying while waiting for treatment.
Got to wonder, if this is the way the government treats veterans, imagine how they will treat the rest of us if we ever get government health care.

Aren't you on Medicare Bob? Or whatever the government healthcare insurance scheme for old people is.
Also, aren't most hospitals built or run with government money? Aren't you afraid they are going to kill you when you're sent to the hospital?
What about doctors who take Medicare money? Aren't these going to turn stupid and kill their patients because taking government money makes you inherently stupid and incompetent?
And what about the scores upon scores of private health insurance outfits taking government money? How do they even survive with all that government incompetence flowing through their accounts?

And what about the scores upon scores of private health insurance outfits taking government money? How do they even survive with all that government incompetence flowing through their accounts? There is a difference between the government running something and the government paying for something. When the government runs things, we get incidents like we just had at the veterans hospitals (government run) where large numbers of staff falsified records to make it look as if they were doing a good job. In fact, patients were dying while waiting months for tests and treatment. When the government simply pays for services, prices keep going up as the companies getting paid learn to work the system. So while it can cost an unconscionable amount for service, that service is still good. Of course, eventually the costs go up so much that the government is forced to cut back. that's what is happening here now. Bob

Isn't every public hospital "government run" by your definition?

Isn't every public hospital "government run" by your definition? No. Not unless they are owned by the government. Bob

No. Not unless they are owned by the government. Bob But every public property is owned by the government. That's the definition of "public property". The vast majority of hospitals in the USA are not owned by the government. What made you think otherwise? Bob
