I read a lot of random magazine articles both in paper copy and online. I don't recall where I read this "tip" but I tried it yesterday and to my utter amazement, the silly suggestion actualy worked.
The topic is: Mosquito bites and how to stop the itching. Believe it or not, there is a simple solution. Cover the bite with a piece of scotch tape. It stops the itch. I don't have the slightest idea why this works unless depriving the spot of oxygen does something. That's my only guess, because the magazine article never said why it worked.
But I had my first mosquito note of the spring season last night -- and thought I'd pass along this useful information to make everyone's summer a little more comfortable.
