I thought this was an interesting take on that.

Of course you did, because you have no idea what Kant actually wrote. This "interesting take" is solved in the same thread:
Kant's noumena are not Platonic ideas, and the noumenal realm is not a Platonic Idea Heaven.

Of course you did, because you have no idea what Kant actually wrote. This "interesting take" is solved in the same thread: But, "yellow" is a property of phenomena, so is "non-yellow". Noumena, by definition, have no phenomenal properties, so they are neither "yellow" nor "non-yellow". Hello McAnswer. I know that. In fact I posted it. That was the point of post. Kant claimed that we cannot know anything about the "noumenal world" but here is a case where we can. Did I make those claims? Did the author? No we didn't. In fact, neither of us mentioned Platonic Ideas at all. So why are you even bringing it up? Bob

So now you are claiming that I didn't make that post? That's a new excuse to avoid giving an answer. You do have a response that deals with the post, don't you?

What was the question? I forget these things after half a day or so, remember? I am senile and need your superior memory to guide me.

Sure. I'll be glad to help. Just read the top post again and we will start from the beginning.
Since you may not have the strength to scroll all the way up, here it is again:
"Kant made a distinction between the noumenal realm, which is how things really are, and the phenomenal realm, which is how things appear to us. According to one interpretation of Kant, we cannot apply any of our concepts to the noumenal realm.
But this latter claim raises the question: Is the noumenal realm yellow? If the noumenal realm is yellow, then one of our concepts applies to it, namely the concept "yellow." But if the noumenal realm is not yellow, then one of our concepts still applies to it, namely the concept "non-yellow." Yellow and non-yellow divide everything that exists between them, so one of them must hold of the noumenal realm. (Trying to appeal to some third category in between yellow and non-yellow won't work, because such a category would not be yellow and hence would be non-yellow.)"

Is that a direct quote? Please provide direct quotes, so I know that you're not in fact forging these or forgetting important key elements of other people's arguments.

I can't see any links. Please provide a direct quote next time instead of falsely claiming things I said, thank you.

Here's the link.
And what exactly are you claiming was a "false claim?"
