First of all, Plagues don't have minds, do they? Of course not, I mistyped. I meant "a life of its own". Social movements also seem to have a life of their own, don't they? But I never made that claim! You making things up again. Check back and see for yourself.
And as for your claim that Communism isn't a plague, well there are some similarities. For instance, both Communism and plagues have killed millions of people, haven't they?
And here is the FIRST definition of "plague" in the dictionary:
"Definition of plague 1a : a disastrous evil or affliction : CALAMITY"
That certainly fits Communism, doesn't it?
Wrong. Communism is bad because Communist regimes killed many millions of people. Is that your idea of "helping other people?" Bob

Wrong. Communism is bad because Communist regimes killed many millions of people. From Hicks: Selflessness, Altruism, Collectivism: The three greatest evils to a Randian.
Egoism, Selfishness, Individualism: The three greatest virtues.
Communism is evil regardless of its effect, since giving to others at a cost to yourself is inherently immoral.

So contrary to your earlier claim, communism being a plague wasn't a "metaphor" after all.
It's what you literally believe.
So you've been lying twice already in this thread.

Any evidence for that claim?

Egoism, Selfishness, Individualism: The three greatest virtues. Communism is evil regardless of its effect, since giving to others at a cost to yourself is inherently immoral. But we have seen the effects of Communism:[/div] Millions killed in the Soviet Union. The survivors living under oppression. Millions in the Ukraine deliberately starved to death. Millions more killed in China. Again millions starved to death during the "Great Leap Forward." Thousands killed during the "Cultural Revolution." Over 20% of the Cambodian population killed in just a few years by Cambodian Communists. Millions fleeing Venezuela just recently to avoid starvation. That's a partial list. And BTW, Rand never said that "giving to others at a cost to yourself is inherently immoral." This is what she actually said: Bob
