The producer of that clip seems to be saying that conditions 144 years ago are the same as today. But I haven't heard about soldiers and police shooting down demonstrators in the USA lately. Have you?

True, from the news it appears that American policemen are fully preoccupied with shooting people in the streets before they can even gather together.

Aren't you forgetting something? Like actual data to support your claim?
How many people are killed by U.S. police officers in a year?
What percentage is this of total arrests?
How many of these killings were justified (for example, by someone trying to kill a police officer)?
The number you need to justify your claim would have to be quite high to justify your claim that "American policemen are fully preoccupied with shooting people in the streets."
I'm sure you have the supporting evidence and probably just forgot to post it.

Thank you for that information.
Now, to relate it back to your original post about people being killed by the police during political demonstrations, exactly how many of these killings were done during political demonstrations?

How many pro-labor demonstrations have there been in the last decades?
