Okay, I watched episode 6 yesterday. All I could really say about that one is, curiouser and curiouser. Just more mysteries, no real answers. But we know that Vera "changed things" after she said that things got out of hand and they let a lot of bad things happen.
This morning I watched episode 7 and now I'm caught up, waiting for the finale. That better be a doozy. lol So, Marin is alive and wants Julian back. And after the authorities, including Ambrose and Heather, searched for her with Julian with her, they found her, but not exactly the way they hoped to. I thought of the gun in her purse which makes one think that Julian did something. However, we've been thrown off the path before, so who knows. And where is Julian going to end up?
My prediction is that Vera found them and did it. I'm betting that Julian called her.
Edit: Oh, wait now. Marin called someone from the room and Julian overheard and told that person "we're here". I wonder if she could have called "The Beacon" who is supposedly the father of Julian. Wasn't he supposed to have gone to Canada?

Well . . . How do you spell anticlimax? Or maybe anticlimax anticlimaxed, which would be anticlimaxanticlimax and would probably confuse mathematicians.
Vera and Julian just go back and all is forgiven. And guess who Julian's father is. Give me a break.

OMG, what a ton of twists. Lots of unexpected turns. But did it satisfy my skeptical self? Yes. Not a dry eye in the room. Lol
Now what am I going to watch!!!?? Darn it.

Lily, my dissatisfaction with "The Sinner" is more about the way the story was told than about the details of the plot.

Lily, my dissatisfaction with "The Sinner" is more about the way the story was told than about the details of the plot. Yes, I understand that. Whereas for myself, regardless, my reactions to that kind of thing is more emotional than cerebral. I admit that. In fiction or in real life. Just a burden to bear.

I'm going to watch the last episode again. There are some loose ends that I need to resolve that maybe I missed the explanation of. First of all, we never got to know what happened to The Beacon after he drank that tea. That was a teaser that should have been explained. I can't remember what kind of facility that Julian will be spending around five years in. And what about the accidental shooting death of Marin? Did the father get charged for that? Did Heather or Ambrose turn him in for at least an investigation?
And what about Vera? Is she going to keep up Mosswood? How did she get into that in the first place? And we never did find out why Heather was Black with a White father. Who was the mother? What was the contention with the family in connection with the mother? This should have at least been a 10-episode limited series. Just too much hanging loose for me.
Don't get me wrong, though. I did enjoy the show and I'll miss it. Maybe re-watch the first The Sinner again. And maybe re-watch this second one. Knowing the way it went, I may be able to pick up stuff I may have missed the first time around.

Yes. Loose ends and questions by the number. I think I'd rather have heartaches - -

LOL! For sure.
But really I've thought of another loose end that is really kind of sad. And that's Marin who was badly exploited at least twice and really nothing much was said about what happened to her. Anyway, I need to watch that last episode again.
