Wired article about SF writer Neal Asher. I haven't read this series, so don't know whether it's any good or not. There's a political civil war going on in the US SF community, with conservatives complaining that most of the awards go to more liberal writing. Probably true, since SF tends to focus on the expectation that our current systems of government and economics won't work in the future (they don't work very well in the present).
