What the Bible says is completely irrelevant. You can find passages in the Bible to support just about anything - pedophilia, incest, eye gouging, you name it. Robertson is responsible for his own comments. Claiming that he's just following the Bible is no excuse. The Islamist terrorists who blow up buildings claim they are only following the teachings of the Koran. Robertson is a piece of shit. He spreads hatred, bigotry and racism and uses religion to justify his views. His comments were offensive and inflammatory, giving support and validity to right-wing extremists, neo Nazis, and various other fascist groups - and to the ignoramuses who make life hell for millions of children and teenagers who happen to be born gay. As it is, Robertson has only been temporarily suspended, leaving it open to him to make a public apology and be reinstated. He ought to have been sacked permanently. And then some.

Dear Zak:
He simply stated his religious views. Because YOU don't agree with him doesn't make you right.
Personally, I think you avoid answering anything that you don't have an answer for -- what do you think about the guy who abused the poor girl working at Chick-Fil-A?
How do you expect a teenager to respond if confronted with a gay like Louie, who thrusts his sexuality into everything at all times?
And if it's not about Sex -- how do you explain that video I posted?
Balls in your court, Zak. I want answers.

Deb, I'm not watching the video and I'm no longer reading this thread. It's ugly. And I don't need anymore of ugly.

I need to re-post this in answer to Tricia's last post. And still be gay? Or stop practicing being gay? I don't care what the Bible says, and there are Christians who are plain evil. The point is religion should have NOTHING to do with civil rights and liberties. And that's just great that the BIG DUCK said this kind of thing in the Christmas Season where Christ's birth is remembered. Truthfully this has really upset me. I'm sure that you all don't care. But it really has and I've really got to think about do I want to be associated with a forum where people can't just say, well, I can't agree with it because of my Christian beliefs, but that's just me. And I realize that Christianity is only one religion in a world where there are many and many who are not religious and many who do not believe. Let each person decide for themselves. As for myself, I will believe as my conscience tells me and each person has the right to do the same. But, no, fundamentalists have to have everyone beleive exactly like them. That is why--nevermind that is why. And, by gum, I'm really beginning to believe that those kind of churches should lose their tax exemptions. And A&E knew about this family, what they really were. And they will be hearing from me..I promise you that. I have already researched how I can reach them by e-mail. By the way, the Bible was written by man, not God. Dear Lily:
I don't care if you're gay or straight. But I'm tired of "gay rights" being shoved into my face on a daily basis. Go ahead and be whatever you are -- but for Pete's sake -- I don't want to see it, or hear about it.
I'll extend the same courtesy to you and keep my bedroom door closed.

Answer my questions. IF that video isn't about sex, what is it about?
I await your answer...

Those are straight people. Are you having fun, Deb? Is this really enjoyable for you? Thank you, Tricia. If this was your purpose, you succeeded. I just wish you had used some other forum.

Dear Lily:
You know enough by now to know that I don't approve of Spring Break, or girls gone wild, or any of that other bullshit.
But the difference is that spring break isn't a political issue. The newspapers aren't glorifying spring break on a daily basis and spring break doesn't eat up legislative time. Corporations don't donate massive amounts to Spring break that could better be spent on the handicapped.
To me, someone else's sex life is not worthy of legislative time or monetary donations for the sake of political correctness.

So, Deb, are we now on the outs? Or are we still friends and collaberators? To me, yes, but I don't know about you. This topic can't go on forever, not without some very deep wounds eventually. Same question goes to Tricia. It's okay if you don't agree. I'll accept that, too.

However, once I love someone -- I love them forever. There's very little they can do that will make me change my mind. --Debutante Dear Lily: I am, if nothing else, consistent in my feelings. You're stuck with me. <3 Love, Debutante

Victoria's Secret? Meh. It must be true love. NOW who's obsessed with sex? Victoria's Secret has a sister store attached called "Pink"...it is one of THE most popular stores amoungst young women and girls. I was obviously Christmas shopping for my daughters as unfortunately, there is no other place that carries their "brand" of horrendously over priced perfume and clothing line. (One set of body spray, one pair of yoga pants, one shirt, and one pajama set totals $250.00 kind of over price) The line started at the register, went thru the "Pink" side of the store, thru Victoria's Secret, and spilled out in to the mall as young sales girls walked back and forth asking customers to "please 'hug' the wall" so that other customers could mill about knocking in to each other trying to shop. While standing in line, I was able to "counsel" at least three bewildered middle aged men as to which perfume set their 17 year old daughter would prefer and which size nightgown I think may fit their wife...do they shrink easily, etc...this was my third trip in to the store in the past week as I can only take so much of the crowd before I start getting pissy and have murderous thoughts of grabbing a bra off the display and strangling someone with it. The things I do for these kids....

And are you trying to tell us that you didn't buy *anything* for yourself while you were there?

And are you trying to tell us that you didn't buy *anything* for yourself while you were there? Actually, I didn't...because I know that Kirstie already bought me *my* favorite perfume from there. I was very proud of myself this year for not doing the "one for you and one for me" thing...except today...I did buy myself something for Christmas today. My gifts to me are the best. :-)

Tricia, you're a born organzier and advice giver. I bet you instill a lot of confidence in your clients.
P.S. When you're not wanting to strangle them.

I don't know about the advice but I am an organizer for sure. If everything isn't in order just the way I like it my whole world is a mess and it causes me great inner turmoil.
