Wired has a paywall, but you can see 4 articles per month for free. Scroll down to the video "A Harvard Professor Explains What the Avengers Can Teach Us About Philosophy". It helps if you've seen all the 30 or so Marvel and DC movies they talk about because it's really only partly about the Avengers, it's about movie superheroes in general. 20 minutes of talk, with some movie scenes added. (No Avengers spoilers). I like the idea that modern villains are reasonable. That is, they have good, logical reasons for doing bad things. Can good people do bad things? Can bad people do good things? Yes. How do we decide what to do? It's all in the superhero movies made in the past 10 years. Fred www.wired.com/

Obviously, they teach us that philosophy is stupid and wrong, because philosophy doesn't have all the correct answers, unlike my pet ideology.
