I've been on FACTS a very long time -- so I can say with reasonable certainty that the atheists on this board are sane. I may not totally agree with every position they hold, but I've never thought that any of them had "ulterior motives" for their lack of belief in God, or a Higher Power, or Intelligent Design (or whatever term you choose).
But this fellow --in the Breitbart article I'm going to link -- is going to give atheists a bad name. Because he is advocating eating "human meat" to break the taboo of cannibalism just for the sake of breaking a "morality' code. Granted, he's speaking of stem cell created "human meat" -- but it's the attitude that is questionable.
It reminds me of a teenager who wants to buck Mom and Dad's curfew (or rules about whatever) just for the sake of rebelling. No reason other than to "do it". Very immature -- to say the least. But that's only one issue.
HUMAN MEAT -- even stem celled human meat -- do we really want people to develop a "taste" for it? What happens then if someone gets it into their head that "free range" meat (meaning real live people) might have a different taste and decides to test the theory? Or someone decides it's far cheaper to just hunt their own "human meat" than purchase "stem cell human meat"?
Then there's "veal" -- you know how that's produced....what if someone decides they'd like to try the "human meat" equivalent thereof? Do you really want to see that happening?
Needless to say -- I think you already know I think this "stem cell human meat" is a very bad idea.
But it also bothers me because this nut case in this article will cause people to look at atheists in general as being "off their rocker". And truly --- having known all of the ones on FACTS -- I can't imagine any of them sitting down to dine upon people. This fellow will make them all look bad and it makes me angry.
