We've seen it twice; once in regular format and the second time in 48 fps in 3-D. To be perfectly honest I didn't see a lot of difference. But I enjoyed the movie. Might be too long for younger kids...or folks who are not in love with the books. BTW, How It Should Have Ended made a funny video about it:

Yes, watched it twice.
It basically follows the story in the novel, but seems to be a bit "embellished," which they really need to do to get a trilogy out of this little book.

Raybar, I enjoyed most of the embellishments, but could have lived without seeing permanent bird-droppings on Radagast's face.
