Not so much the entire group -- just the one person -- and not in the way you might imagine, except perhaps, for "Colour My World". Chicago (the actual band) played at one of our college dances. So we actually got to dance to that particular song played by the people who wrote it.
The others -- it's a matter of scrambled energy patterns. Because of what those zombies did -- we ended up with a few problems through no fault of our own. We've put certain boundaries into place over the years so that we could be friends and these idiots caused a bit of "leakage" in the barrier. It's not a question of the songs evoking memories per se.
I know this will make absolutely no sense to you -- but it's a matter of our energy being around one another to a much larger degree than we'd normally allow. Consider it an actual collision of what makes him, him -- and me, me. We've always had this problem whenever we're in too much contact with one another. This past week, the snot has begun to be mischievously playful and we both ended up pretty scrambled. Defining "scrambled" is a bit difficult.
For example, when he first began traveling, I always knew when he'd come back to Chicago because I could "feel" that he was home. He could "feel" where I was located in space as well. We knew exactly what the other was thinking or feeling without ever having to bother speaking. It's kind of an involuntary thing. It's like we broadcast our own wave to one another.
So basically, we've got some crossed wires at the moment -- I'm on energetic overdrive (which is his normal state). And he's decided to take a week off by himself and simply "be" (which is my normal state)!
Does that make any sense at all? Probably doesn't.
Aren't you sorry you asked? This explanation really doesn't help much, does it?
But I posted these songs because after listening to them because I realized they're damn good compared to a lot of the stuff out there today.
